Painting House for an Art Lover

 

Above is a recent commission I completed featuring House for an Art Lover in Glasgow. Designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh it is where the final of Scotland’s Home if the Year was held last night.

I started by doing a line drawing of the building and then I slowly add up the layers of watercolour adding in the detail.

House for an Art Lover wedding stationery

This stationery suite features the motif from the piano in the House for an Art Lover which was designed by the famous Scottish designer/architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh. I hand painted the design in watercolour and it was then printed onto white textured 300gsm board. The blackberry ribbon and CRM typeface complete the design perfectly.
