Gate fold invitations

Morning, I’m going to be sharing some invitation styles over the next few days.

First up is the • Gatefold •

This is one of my most popular styles as it is really versatile and can include extra information such as menu choices or accommodation options on the side panels. It can be completed with ribbon, a belly band or wax seal.

This design incorporates a venue illustration of the beautiful @broxmouthcourtyard with hand painted eucalyptus and foliage wax seal.

Painting Carberry Tower

Above is a recent commission I completed featuring Carberry Tower. I start with a pencil sketch then gradually build up the layers of watercolour.

Floral wreath wedding invitations

If you are looking for a wedding invite which is a standing card but has a pocket for reply or information card then this is the one for you! The hand painted floral wreath is personalised with your names and mounted onto the front of the card. Inside there is a pocket for your reply or information card on the left and the wording is mounted on the right. So pretty x

Painting of Lochgreen House Hotel

Wedding season is in full swing and I'm busy with projects I can't show you yet... This is a painting I completed before Christmas of Lochgreen House Hotel in Troon. It was a wedding gift with the couple's wedding venue so I do hope they liked it!

Scottish/Romanian personalised stationery

Above is stationery I designed for a Scottish Groom and Romanian bride. I painted their national flowers, a thistle and dog rose entwined and this was printed onto antique white card and completed with ivory ribbon - lovely and unique to them! x

Water colour for wedding gift

I have just completed this water colour of St Patrick's Church in Dumbarton. It is a wedding present for the couple who got married there by one of their lovely friends!

Bespoke wedding stationery

I created this design for a couple of friends of mine who are getting married in September. Their wedding reception is on a boat on Loch Ness so they came to me with the idea of a painting through a porthole with two Nessie's! I loved the idea and painted the design in water colour with lots of blue (my friends favourite colour!). The design was then printed on antique board and finished with ancient pride of scotland ribbon. Can't wait for the wedding !x

Bespoke designs

The most common question I get asked is whether I do the artwork on my designs myself, and the answer is YES! I do a lot of bespoke wedding stationery and above is a recent example which shows the design process.

A. Do pencil drawing on watercolour paper

B. Paint the design with watercolours in colours chosen
C. Scan the artwork in and make up three samples with different invitation styles, card choices, typefaces and ribbon colours.

The designs can then be tweaked if necessary so you can get your design as exactly as you would like it. The final product -  a one-off design to reflect you and your special day!
